RENAISSANCE - Who we are
Who is behind Renaissance Art Retreat?
Unfortunately there is still this perpetuating myth that artists are born not made. In my experience this couldn’t be further from the truth.
After working in the Arts all my life and in education for over 20 years, having taught students from all ages and backgrounds, I realised that the biggest obstacle to learning was simply the student’s own self limiting beliefs.
Therefore I had to find and use various personal development and educational techniques to help my students overcome their lack of confidence or self esteem. I found that by combining these supporting techniques not only was I able to liberate my students natural talents but that their learning and development were accelerated.
I found that I could teach anyone, any subject, no matter what their level of experience, so long as that student was willing to trust me as their teacher and be open to my training methods.
My greatest joy as a teacher was seeing my students blossom into the artistic geniuses that they really always were. To see their confidence and pride soar as they realised that they had talent and that they could achieve their dreams.
In 2008 I decided to create the kind of arts centre and courses that I myself as a tutor would love to teach at and as a student would love to participate in.
